The S.T.A.C.I.E. Foundation partnered with Daughters of Destiny several months ago and was excited to travel to Lockhart TX to offer two presentations to the incarcerated women of Lockhart Correctional.
The team members; Lorraine Whoberry, and Victoria Hubbard, were accompanied by Richard Whoberry as support personnel, and Theresa Davidson of 317 Film Productions graciously filmed the event for Daughters of Destiny and the S.T.A.C.I.E. Foundation.
The ladies were very receptive as Lorraine shared her testimony and Victoria ministered to the ladies. In the morning session approximately 100 ladies attended, and four ladies answered the alter call and received Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. As word spread about the first presentation offered, the audience increased to over two hundred ladies in the second session, as well as some who returned from the first session, and they were on fire for the Lord.
As you looked into the sea of faces, speaking and ministering God’s work in our lives, wondering what each ladies story was, you found yourself looking into the faces of some who looked lost and hopeless. Others rejoiced having discovered and finding hope, faith, compassion and love, as God was affirming His love to the ladies of Lockhart!
In the second session fourteen ladies accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior!! The Lord ministered to these souls and the Kingdom of Heaven is rejoicing!
The prayer lines were long as the team members offered prayer to the ladies, as we hugged, laughed, cried and prayed with, and for the ladies! It was very humbling, enriching and absolutely beautiful! The staff was most gracious and we Thank You Lockhart Correctional for our warm welcome.
What a blessing it was to be called by our Lord to be His hands and feet, His messenger, His vessels sharing the gospel of Christ Jesus.
Thank you Abba Father for the calling of these very special ladies and the dedication they have made in their personal lives. Fifty five ladies are now Daughters of Destiny who will be nurtured, counseled and mentored as they draw closer while walking their personal journey with and for the Lord.

Annie Goebel, president of the women’s prison ministry Daughters of Destiny, met the son she gave birth to as a teen in 1973 earlier this month. “It wasan incredibly blessed meeting. He is a beautiful man with a sensitive spirit,” said Goebel in an interview with The Christian Post. According to Goebel, the day she met her adult son began when she was sharing her testimony before a group of women. Like the women she ministers to, Goebel had come from a broken home and had served time behind bars.“I told them of how records had been sealed and I would probably never get to see him. One of them stated that she had worked in the Department of Social Services in San Antonio where he was born. She offered to do some research for me,” said Anniel “A couple weeks later she called me with a name and number of a lady who had worked with the unwed mothers home I was in. I called her and she happened to be the person who carried my son from the hospital to his new parents.” Annie was told her son’s first name and that he had been adopted by a loving Christian family. Even after giving his adoptive mother’s contact information and receiving a handwritten letter from him, no further contact took place. She then decided to find him online, locating him on Facebook. Annie hesitated to friend him because she believed “he had chosen to not know me.”
